Singles were begun by drawing as above, but on account of shortness of time and an unusual number of contestants the singles semi-fin als were dropp *l and the Tennis Association c!ceted four men to play out the tournament. The four selected were: Hagood, Tew, Brown, Wardlaw. Hagood won 'the singles representation by hard and clever playing. Wallace and Sims won doubles. Messrs.
