Some Things New. Every year changes are made in various courses in -the Uni versity. For this session a num ber of important new courses are offered. The combined de partment of ancient languages, of modern languages, and of English are offering for first time a course in the world's best literature. In a phamplet got ten out by the University we read the literatures of India, Persia, Greece, Rome, Scundina via, Italy, France, Spain. Ger many and England will be taken up. A special group o icetures will deal with the Bib.. anld its enormous literary importance and influence. This promises to be an interesting and profitable course. Student's Conference. A unique privilege and a rich opportunity lies in store for those men who will attend the Stu dent Conference of the South Carolina Y. M. C. A's at Wof ford College. At this gathering will be men from all the colleges in the State, and assuredly men of the most eminent type and manly calibre. Eeach man, who by any chance can go, has a warm welcome and a hearty in vitation to this Conference. One of the most exigent needs of student iife is trained leader ship among the religious in stitutions of the colleges. And from this University we should have ten men. Men who will go and bring back all they hear, not only what they hear but propagate the great spirit gotten at the Convention so that we might have a splendid suc cess in our Y. M. C. A. this year.
