Our New Secretary. When we returned th Carolina in September we wondered into Flinn Hall and picked p a mag azine and were standing by the table when a newcomer entered. He presented hinself and said: "King's my name." That's who he was and what he is. He's King and king, and as dean of Flinn Hall he will make good. Edward S. King was born in Archdale, North Carolina in 1887. He attended school at High Point, graduating from the high school in 1906. Subse quently he entered Guilford Col lege, N. C. where he distinguish ed himself for scholarships, graduating at the head of his class in 1910. By taking his A. B. (summa cum laude) he won a scholarship in Hamford College, Pennsylvania, but did not go to Hamford. In the autumn of 1910 King became secretary of the Y. M. C. A. at Alabama Polytechnic Institute, "Auburn," which posi tion he held three years. Last year he was assistant secretary of the Y. 1q. C. A. at Vanderbilt, Nashville, Tenn. Mr. King begins his work with us as an experienced Y. M. C. A. man and his earnestness of purpose and his praotical Christi anity bespeak for him the whole souled cooperation and most faithful aid of every Carolina man in making our Y. M. C. A. greater this year than ever be fore. Junior Class Election At a meeting of the Junior Academic Class the following men were elected for the several ofiers: R.L. D:ugherty, Presi dent; J, M.
