OLKADOT SHOW MAKES GREAT HIT leases All Who Witness it and Makes Good. "The Tale of the Sea Serpent,'" resented by the Polkadot club f the University in the Colum is theatre Monday and Tuesday t was a decided hit. Though e weather and other things in rfered and prevented the pro uction from being a financial ccess that was reasonably ex cted, it was enjoyed by all ho witnessed it. The Polkadot club offered to olumbians a show that was tyled on the order of the fa ous shows given by the Trian le club of Princeton. The mu cai comedy was presented for e first time on any stage; every iece of scenery used was made pecially for the Polkadot club; d the costumes were nert and p-to-date. Carolina and Oak Ridge battle ain today. Un they tackled the Gamecocks sterday they had a clean slate. ist week they played 17 in ngs to a tie with the Charlotte CAROLINA GETS GAME Gamecocks Cop Second Game from Davidson. Carolina got away with the game with. Davidson Thursday afternoon on Davis Field by a score of 4 to 0. This was the second a'nd last game of the se ries. An agreement had been made to call the game at 6 o'clock to allow Davidson to catch a train. Davidson scored six runs in its half of the eighth inning, but when six o'clock arrived the side had not been retired, and Carolina had not had its half of the inning. The score therefore reverted to the previous inning, and Carolina won. Adams pitched for Carolina, and was strong until the eighth. Osteen worked for Davidson, allowing six hits. Carolina scored two runs in the first inning. Plaxico, first up, was safe on Crayton's error. Langston struck out. Plaxico stole second, and later stole third. Shuler walked. Plaxico scored on Elliott's error. Shuler stole second. W. Rudisill flied to right. Edens singled and Shuler scored. F. Rudisill struck out. Two more runs were made in the seventh. With one out, Plaxico was safe on Sommer ville's error, but was put out, Elliott to Christenberry, when he attempted to steal second. Langston was safe on Osteen's boot; and went to third on John Shuler's single, and Shuler went to second on the throw in. W. Rudisill singied, and Langston and Shuler scored. Rudisill stole second. Edens was out, Osteen to Crayton. There were two out in the eighth when six o'clock arrived, and the game was called. Dav idson had scored six runs in this inning.
