C., April 27, 1912. With this issue we, the new staff, make our initial bow to our fellow stt(lcnts. We hope to be able to keep up our college weekly on the high plane it has occupied in the past. Tii.: (Ai1.cocK under the leadership of Mlr. Latimer has been a real live member. Our aim is to make it, as he has done, a true col lege paper of interest to true college men here on the campus. By the snappy rooting of the stu dent body at the two games with Davidson we helped the team to get both contests. Not only did we help to win the games, but we made our impression on the visiting college representatives of being back of our team all the time. The team has only a few more games to play and the season of 1912 will close. Now, let's every man of us be on the side lines at these remaining games and keep the ol-time pep going to the end. You have your part to play in every game. Root for your team. In the spring the young man's fancy lightly turns to anything but books. This time of year that spring feeling gets us and we want to lay out under the trees and watch the leaves grow. Now is the time you want to shake that tired feeling. Examinations are only a month off. There is not a man among us but knows the full meaning of that phlrase "hon ing for exams." Nowv is the time to put in sonie extra time on hack wvork and get iln shape for the coining finals. It is a lot easier to standl an examination if you can go to b)ed at ten-thirty the night be fore. if you wvaste time now June will mean to you thme coming of sev eral sleepless nights. A little extra work wvill lighten matters greatly andl help you to look with pleasant anticipation of the time when you can put your books aside for a few months.
