The University has taken von derful strides for the past four years, keeping noticeably apace in the train of progress through the South. This statement is easily verified )y look ing either casually or critically into the record of the University for the past decade. Two new buildings have been added. Last year, Davis College, vith i,s twelve large and comnio dious classrooms, besides four roonuy and adequate offices, was colplet-ed. The new Science Ilall has just been finished anl is being occul)ied. The cost of this building was $45,000. Its laboratories, devoted to the de )artnents of Chemistry, iiology, Physics and Geology, are equiiped with llodern conveniences an(d ap paratus. Thes-e large buildings. with their attractive architecture, are of no mean value in beautifying the campus. h'lien, in connection with tl'ese buildings, there is in course of construction a large heatii plant. lUnldergrolnd pipes are to be run both to Davis College and the Science I lall, and in the course of a (Contlinucd on Pagc Four.)
