At each giiest's plate was a cute little card with the name of the guest who was to occupy that seat. President Moore was assiate,d in re receiving by Miss' Fickling, 'who Was tast.fully gowned in poiht" d,e lace over yellow silk, which harmonized beautifully with the decorations. An orchestra stationed behind.-large lem on , palmi on- the' stair -landing.. dis coursed sweet music during the even ing. One of the" selections of- the evening was "Oh, Where is the Wan deriiig Mess- ,Hall Money Tonight," which' met -with great applause.. The favors of the eve4ing vere small iem ons . snspended from rubber strings. The guests amused themselves by striking -at each' other or giving each other the lemon. After enjoying this sport for s6me. time,. a guessing con test was engaged in. Pretty little girls passed around trays containing hol lowed-out lemons. Each guest took one. On opening them they found a small card bearing this inscription: 'Who gets the lemoni" This created much mefiment and kept them guess ing for a long time. Many correct, guesses were made, but as yet we.are unable to announce the winner of'the prize. We refer you to the examina tion marks oid the bulletin board. Aft er this contest was ended the band played a popular air entitled, "Peaches and Lemons," and all beto'ok 'them-' selves to the dining room. There a de lightful repast was served. The menu consisting of the following: Lemon pickles. Olives. Salted lemons. Lemonade Lemon Frappee. Lemon pies. Croquettes a la lemon. Lemon sandwiches. Coffee. Cigars. After the feast, wine and wit be gan to flow, and then ensued a veri table "riot of rhetoric and orgy of ora tory' Several witty talks were made which.' brought. forth - prolonged ap plause. SAfter the feast all returnet, to th3e reception room where they bade aflin~ gering farewell.*to their kind host and charming hQstess. In the Clariosophic Society Mr. C G. Wydhe led in the dclaimer's con -test. H6!had .a good speech, the them< of which readily appeals to the popu lai?;udience. The debate was won by Mr.' I. N. Edwards, president of hi society. The University shall expec gbod work from him next year ir the various contests. Law Association Elects Officers After the regular trial in no court on April 30th, the Law Associa tion elected the following officers fo: the ensuing year: J. H. Sullivan, pres ident; C. N.
