The Teach eks’ Institute.—We de
sire to call special attention of the
teachers throughout the county to the
notica published in these columns by
Dr. Boyd, the school commissioner.
The earnest and enthusiastic commis

a Teachers’ Institute for the county,
and in the commendable undertaking
he merits the sympathy and co-opera
tion of every teacher in Fairfield cot?iir
ty7 Other counties have organized
associations of this .kind and they are
already doing a useful work. Will
Fairfield .stand back with hands folded
and do nothing? It looks that way
now. We shall see surely on Satur

forget the call.

Registration.—The registration of
voters preparatory to the vote on the
question of “license” and “no license”
began Monday and the books will be
kept open during each day of this
week until Wednesday evening at six
o’clock. Everybody 7 is or should be
interested in the solution of this ques :
tion, and it is therefore, unnecessary to
say that every one legally entitled to
vote should be duly registered before
Friday, the dav of the election. The
registration managers should see to it
that no one registers who is not enti
tled under the law to cast a ballot.
? ritis proper and reasonable precaution
hits taken in time may save trouble
and perhaps difficulty on the day of
the election.
