Oct 16-tf * —The Legislature meets on the fourth Tuesday of this mouth, and it is generally thought that important mat ters will be brought to the attention of the General Assembly. The Railroad Commission Act will at least be dis cussed, and the propriety of abolishing trial justice courts or limiting their jurisdiction and establishing county courts will come up, and some such action will probably be taken. —r...,i Thk Roads.—Citizens from the vari ous portions of the county report the highways in a much better condition than at this time last year. It is earn estly hoped th’at our people will not be afflicted with such roads as last year. With the changes that will probably be made in the roacf law af the approach ing session of the Legislature and the increased vigilance of the county com missioners, we may reasonably expect good and passable highways iu the future. • ^ l T’TS *‘Li her ot this capital magazine .both use ful and enjoyable.
