Dr. Derieux said that even as busy a., Mr. Green was that he always found time to attend and to take part in the services of the church. Mrs. Charlie Williams, accompanied by Miss Alice Walker, rendered a very beautiful solo at the morning service and also at the evening ser vice. At the evening hour Rev. J. P. Isen hower preached a strong sermon on the "Mission of the Church." Mr. Gordon A. Johnstone spoke at the beginning of the service, giving a sketch of the life of Mr. Stephen Greene. The music of the evening was in charge of Miss Ziza Bruce, assisted by the choir of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Clarence Bruce sang at the close of the service. The ordinance of baptism was ad ministered at the close of the ser vice. Mrs. Thomas Craft and Lindsay Patrick were baptized. The calendar of services at the Baptist church is as follows: Sunday school, 9:30 a. m.; morning worship 11 a. m.; sermon by the pastor. Ev ening worship, 8 p. m., sermon by the pastor. Sunbeams: Monday, 3:30, Mrs. G. C. Gibson, leader. Prayer and Praise Service, Wednes day evening at 8. Every person in the village will find a cordial wel come. Calendar of services at the Meth odist church: Sunday school, 3 p. m.; evening worship, 8 p. m.; cottage prayer meetings, Tuesday, 8 p. m. You will find a warm welcome at all of these services. Rev. Mr. Black is filling the pulpit on Sunday even ing at 8 o'clock. There shall be no more water fam ines, we hope.
