Dr. Wallace, who con ducted the funeral services of Mrs. Boyce, returned to his home in Virginia Monday afernoon. Her daughter, Mrs. F. A. B. will remain with relatives here for a few days. -The campaign me e ti ng brought along two fine news paper men in the persons of Messrs Zach McGhee and N. M. Salley, the former representing the State anh the latter several different papers. -Messrs Will and Ed Bank head and Misses Etta and Lizzie Bankhead went to Columbia Sat-' urday to accompany the remains of their cousin, Mr. J. Ross Sloan to Aiston, he having died at his home in Columbia the day before. Brick Church Picnic. There 'will be a basket picnic at the Brick church Saturday. The ladies will serve ice cream and the men will clean off the cemetery. 'Reckling Coming. Mr. W. A. Tickets good two weeks. Winnsboro Wins. In the game Tuesday afternoor between Winnsboro and St. Mat thews, the home boys came out victorious by a score of 5 to 4. It was a fine game of ball and was he best attended of the sea son. While the St. Matthews boys won three out of the four o: the series, the home boys say they have never been up against a finer set of boys anywhere and they are hoping for another game with them at some other time. Batteries: Winnsboro, Andersor and Elliott; St. Matthews, Wan namaker and McPherson. Winnsboro played two games with Rock Hill Thursday and Friday and in each came out ahead, the score for the firsi being 6 to 1 and for the second 3 to 2 Winnsboro's batteris in the first game was Anderson a n d Elliott; in the second Desportes and Bye.
