A Food Prepared Especially FOR Dairy Cows and Calves. The United Breeders Dairy Food contains the elements needed for pro moting a healthy digestion of grain and hastening the assindlation of food to such an extent that a large quantitx of grain, which is lost through fermenta tion, is saved by this process. As a tonic for purifying the blood, this Food is marvelously effective. Milch Cows During the months when cows are stabled one measureful for cach cow morning and night, to be fed with grain, or sprinkled over chopped vegetables or fodder. For Garget or 1111k Fever feed double the the regular ration until recovery. This rule applies to many other diseases. Where Cows Fail to clean feed half a pound of Dairy Food in hot bran mash, repeating this two or three times where the first half pound fails to re lieve. Then feed regular dose for sixty days and it will put a cow in prinie condition. Feeding United Breeders Dairy Food regularly keeps cows in a healthy condition and makes then produce milk up to their capacity. The United Breeders Dairy Food is unequaled as a preventive of abortion. Calves When calves are three days old commenee feeding a half measureful once a day in skim milk. This will hastan the rapid growrl and early deveiopment of the calf, and is the surest preventive of scours. Lorick & Lowrance, Inc. COLUMBIA, S. C. Stock and Poultry Supplies. THE L. S. MORROW Co. It has been quite a time since I knocked at the door of your sanctum, but busy housekeepers do not have much time to indulge in the pleasure of correspoudence. Well, the crops are nearly all gathered and the farmers are cheerful over the good price of the fleecy staple. There will be many a comfort added to the home as well as debts paid. Truly we can all enter into the spirit 01 thanksgiving, for God has indeed blessed the labor of the farmer with success, for which I trust we are all grateful. I suppose the sowing of small grain will be the next thing in or der. I hope your advice in the matter will be taken, as the wheat and oat crop are certainly a help to the farmers. I suppose you have heard of the excellent meeting at Salem church a few days ago by Rev. A. G. MeLees. He certainly was a very earnest worker in our Mas ter's cause, and won a goodly number to the better way, about twenty -six uniting with the church. Mr. and Mrs. A. Smythe, who has been spending several m nths with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Feaster, left yesterday for Columbia, thence to Rock Hill to spend the winter with the former's sister. Their friends hated to see them leave, for they will be much miss ed socially and in the church and Sunday school, where Mr. Smythe so kindly led the singing. The friends of Mr. W. H. James were very pleasantly surprised by a visit from him. He has been making his home in Mississippi for the last three years. He will return in a few days. The friends of that noble wom an, Mrs. Catherine Ladd, wish to erect a monument to her memory. Miss Florence Wilks has the mat ter in charge and will receive con tributions for that purpose. It is especially appropriate for the old Confederates and their de scendants to attend to this, for the South and its defenders was a decided trait in her character. Miss Wilks will be at Mrs. Brockington's in your town on the 30th inst. and will be pleased to receive aid from all who wish to aid her. The address-for those she cannot reach in person -is Blair, S. C. N'IMPoRTE. P. S.-Continue to fight for prohibition. What a glorious Christmas present would it be to the mothers, wives and sisters, if the voters, of Fairfield would vote onu the dispensary. Furioue Fighting. "For seven years," writes Geo. IW. Hoffman, of Harper, Wash., "I had a bitter battle with chronic stomach and liver trouble, but at last I won, and cured my diseases by the use of Electric Bitters. I unhesitatingly recommend them to all, and don't intend in the future to be without them in the house. They are certainly a won derful medicine to have cured such a bad case as mine."
