Flen niken, in the eastern part of town, was the scene of a very pretty marriage last Thursday evening, July 6th, when Itev. C. E. Mc Donald united in marriage Dr. I. D. Best, of Millersburg, Ky., and Miss Janie P. Flenniken, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Flenniken. This marriage w'as to have taken. place on June 28th, but owing to the illness of the bride, it was postponed until the above date. Cards had been sent out for a. lahrge reception to this popular, 1young lady on the evening pre ceding the proposed marriage, but they had to be withdrawn. For the reason above stated,; the marriage, wvhen it did occur, was very quiet, and only a very few friends were present. The bride looked very sweet and the groom handsome as Mr. McDonald, in a very brief cere nmony, spoke the words that made them husbanil and wife. Prof. Best, of Taledega,, Ala., a brother of the groom, was present, to gether with wle other friends, to wish them ion voyage on the sea of life. Dr. Best is a successful dentist of Millersbr.rg, Ky., while the bride is one of the most cultured and popular young ladies of our town. She is a graduate of the College for Women of Columibiaj and has for several years be a successfil teacher of music. All Winnsboro wishes for this young couple all the best things ~of life, and the only regret is, that the pnarriage will remove Mrs. Best, from her old home. They expoet to leave next week for their home in Millersburg. Bronch4'ti for Twonty years. Mi'.
