This is one of the numerous negro frolic killings that took place in this county last winter and there will be many witnesses. With the exception of this case there are no other trials of importance and it is very probable that this term of ccalrt will occupy only one or two days. W W. C. Kohn on Cedar Creek was burned Thursday night, having caught, it is sup posed, from a spark. The loss was about 20,000 feet of lumber belonging to the former and the machinery belonging to the lat ter. Returning Home. Winnsboro's teachers and stu dents at college, of whom there are a. number, are now nearly all at home, much to the delight and the life of the whole community. During the past week the fol lowing teachers have returned; Miss Lida Neil from Easley; Miss Clara Beaty from the Pres byterian High School in Co lumbia; Mr. Chas. Neil from the Boy's High School at Savannah; Miss Ellen Ellison from Yarn ville; Miss .Janie Flenniken from Millersburg, Ky.; and Miss Louise McMaster from near Eastover. Misses. Katharine and Mar garet Flenniken have returned from Erskine College and Miss Annie Doty from the Presby terian College for Women. The Winthrop girls, Misses Grey Neil, Miriam Jordan, and Hattie 1 Ketchin, and the Clemson boys, J1 Meesrs, R. C. Gooding, T. K. Elliott, Jr., and Tom Ellison are expected home to-day.
