THE GREAT SUMMER MEDICINE!
DR. GU7S0TTSIMPR JVED EXTRACT OF
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla, .
P>R the cure of all diseases or disorders generated
by impure blood. Its great success
justly entitles it to the name of the Great American
Rnpcific
So far as it is known it is universally appreciated,
and many eminent physicians use it daily in
their practice with the most happy effects, and
certify that it is the best extract in existence, and
the only one that stands the test of time.
Every year adds to its great popularity, and
multiplies its astounding cures. The victim of
' Hereditary Scrofula, with supporting glands, honey-combed
flesh, and caries eating into his bones,
finds Guysott's Yellow Dock and Sar>aparilla balm
for his affliction. His horrible torments are assuaged,
and his malady not only relieved, but perfectly
cured.
It may be safely asserted, from the results of
past experience, that "Dr. Guysott's Extract ol
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla," is, beyond all comparison,
the most wonderful remedy on earth for
the following diseases, and a i others proceeding
from vitiated blood: Scrofula, or King's Evil,
Rheumatism, Obstinate Cutaneous Eruptions,
Pimples or Pustules on the face, Botches, Moils,
Chronic Sore Eyes, Ringworm or Tetter, Scald
Head, Enlargement ami Pains of the Bones and
I Joints. Stnlihfirn Ulcers. Svnhilitic Lumbago, and
Disease? arising from an injudicious use of Mercury,
A cites or Dropsy, Exposure or Imprudence
in Life, Liver Complaint, Ague and Fever, Intermitting
Fever, Cholera Morbus. Dysentery, Diarrhoea,
Plethora of Blood in the Head, Piles, Pains
in the Back, fcides, Breast or Loins, and all forms
of Muscular, Glandular, and Skin diseases.
It is a sovereign specific for General Debility,
and the best renovater for a Broken Constitution.
It braces and reinvigorates every organ, promotes
actictity and regularity in every function, and
produces that condition of the whole physical system
which is the best security fur long life.
Let all who wish to purge the biood from the.
impurities contracted from t ie free indulgence of
the appetite during the winter, and to prepare the
system to resist summer epidemics, resort now to
"Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla,"
which is proving itself an antidote for many
of the most malignant diseases that flesh is
heir to, and they will neter be disappointed, for in
this remedy the public faith has never wavered?
never can waver; for it is founded on experience,
just as their want of faith in other and spurious
compounds is also founded in experience. They
fly from mineral nostrums to seek hope, life, and
vigor from this purely vegetable remedy. Therefore,
however broken down in health and spirits,
however loathesome to himself and others, let n?
one despair of recovery; let the patient only tin
aerstana max mis nope 01 pnysicm ii-s-.imuwn
lies only in " Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock
and Sarsaparilla," and persuade him for his lit.
sake to try it, and we have no hesitation in j redicting
his speedy restoration to health.
As a means of regulating all the tun -thins ot
woman's delicate organization, it has no equal in
materia medica, and at that ciitical period of ile
when the'first stage of her decline commences,
its cordial and invigorating properties will enable
her to pass the crisis safe'y.

containing a quart, and name of the Nyrupbiown

ANOTHER SCIENTIFIC WONDER,
f^r the cure of
Dr. J. S. HOUCHTO ^
Prepared from RENNET, or the fourth STOMACH
OF THE OX, after directions of BARON
LIE BIG. the great Physiological Chemist, by
J. S. HOUGHTON, M. D. Philadelphia. Pa.
This is a truly wonderful remedy for INDIGESTION,
DYSPEPSIA. JAUNDICE, LIVER
COMPLAINT, CONSTIPATION, and DEBILITY,
Curing after Nature's own method, by
Nature's own Agent, the Gastric Juice
jJSgjT'Half a teaepoonful of Pepsin, infused in water,
will digest or dissolve, Five Pounds of Roast
Be f in about two hours, out of the stomach.
PEPSIN is the chief element, or Great Digesting
Principle of the Gastric Juice?the Solvent oj
the Fond, the Purifying, Preserving, and Stimulating
Agent of the Stomach and Intestines. It is
extracted from the Digestive Stomach of the Ox,
thus forming an ARTIFICIAL DIGESTIVE
FLUID, precisely like the natural Gastric Juice in
its Chemical powers, and furnishing a COMPLETE
and PERFECT SUBSTITUTE for it.
By the aid of this preprration, the pains and evils
of INDIGESTION and DYSPEPSIA are removed,
just as they would be by a healthy Stomach.
It is doing wonders for Dyspeptics, curing cases
of DEBILITY, EMACIATION, NERVOUS DECLINE,
and DYSPEPTIC CONSUMPTION,
supposed to be on the verge of the erave. The
Sc ientific Evidence upon which it is based, is in
the highest degree CURIOUS and REMARKABLE.
SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE!
BARON LIEBIG in his celebrated work on
Animal Chemistry, says: "An Artificial Digestive
Fluid, analogous to the Gastric Juice, may be
readily prepared from the mucous membrane of
the stomach of the Ox, in which various articles
ot food, as meat and eggs, will be softened, chang.
ed, and digested, just in the same manner as they
would be in the human stomach."
