The indictment of 55 at Sacrament<
by a federal grand jury is the resul
of recent investigations by govern
ment agents who discovered thai
leaders were plotting systematic sa
botage.
The investigation was a direct re
suit of the recent attempt to blow u]
the governor's residence at Sacra
mento. Agents discovered a grouj
of plotters whose activities extendet
throughout the Pacific coast terri
tory.
In addition to blowing up facto
ries, plotters in that section of tht
country had planned to fomen
strikes among workmen engaged ii
war industries, destruction of frui
trees and crops.
The Tri-State Medical association
comprising the Carolinas and Vir
ginia, will meet at Charleston Wed
nesday.
