Particular reference is made in this instance to Miss Frances Lemon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Lemon, of Barnwell, who entered Goker. College at Hartsville this year from the tench grad * of the Barnwel High School. Last Week the students of that institution were re quired to stand a lest on a number of subjects and it is no surprise to Miss Lemon’s friends to know that she led the entir^ Freshman Class and was one of the ten best out of the entire student body. This latter group was composed of one Freshman, two Sophomores, six Juniors and one Senior. Miss Lemon’s splendid show ing speaks well for the training she received at the local school, as well as for th’e manner In which she ap plied herself to her studies.
