Without doubt Judge Prince's
charge to the grand Jury excited more
comment and made a more profound
impression thai, that of any judge de
livered herc In years. No need for
iuo solicitor's absence, ho took occa
sion to touch upon very nearly every
subject in which the grand J?ry has
jurisdiction, and he hayed lawless
ness.
Much of his speech was epigram
matic. In the beginning he charged
the grand jury with responsibility for
exlstiug conditions, good or bad. as
regards official affairs ot Ute county.
