. NEGRO MANGLEI?.
Ben Brownlee, a negro about 25
years of age. was caugbt in a pulley at
the gin of Edward-King, in Greenville
county, about three miles from Tony
Creek, la6t Monday and was badly
mangled. Two of Belton's physicians
were called immediately and reached
him in a short time after the accident.
Very little hope waa held out for thc
recov- ry of the negro, but the physi
cians performed an operation and left
the negro aa comfortably as possible
Yesterday-we saw one of the doctors
and he Informed UK that the negro
would very likely recover.!

Mr. Murdock is very much worried
