day morning at 11:15 when Miss Nol

William D. Barnette. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. J. W.
Speake, pastor of St. John's Metho
dist church and took place at thc

ter S. Beaty. The bride is a daughter
of Col. B. L. Caughman and was on
a visit here to her sister. The groom

New Band For
North Anderson.
Tho band concert to take place In
North Anderson this- afternoon will
ne moro largely attended than usual,
owing to tbe fact that a new band
has been secured and it Is probable
that the people of the city will want
to look them over. John Linley said
last night that this band, which
como? from Pelzer, wilt have 14 .in
struments and that it ls said to be one
of the best bands in thtB part of the
country. The concert will begin at
4:30 o'clock and last until 6:30.
