Mr. George C. Hodges spent Monday '
night at the Commercial Ilotol and after
retiring ho heard a crackling noise over |
his head which proved to be the burn- (
ing of the ceiling. The stove pipe ran |
up straight through the ceiling and the
laths caught fire therefrom. The alarm
was quickly raised, and George Shi 11 ito
with several others, went up on top of

said that George has laid tho foundation
of a good tinning job.
