J. P. Caldwell

J John Patrick Caldwell, 7 0,
of 12 Underwood Ave., Green
ville, died at a Greenville
hospital Wednesday morning
after several years of declin
ing health. Born in Laurens
County, he was the son of
W. M. and Mattie Stone Cald
well. He had made his home
in Greenville since 1924.
He is survived by his wife,
Carrie Cunningham Caldwell
of Greenville; two sons. John
W. Caldwell, Anderson, James
H. Caldwell of Greenivile; five
sisters, Mrs. John Hudgens,
Mrs. Carlos Boyd, Mrs. Dor-
rah Owings, all of Laurens,
and Mrs. Joe Brown, Saluda,
N. C., Mrs. J. C. McGowan,
Ninety-Six: one brother, J.
Lamar Caldwell, Hartsville
and 8 grandchildren.
The funeral will be con
ducted Friday at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Woodlawn
Memorial Gardens. The body
is at Mackey Mortuary. The
family in at the home.

Funeral services were held
Monday for Mrs. Cora A.
Windsor who died Saturday
at her home after a long ill
ness.
Mrs. Windsor, 65, wife of
Mark Windsor of 312 Cypress
St., Lydia Mill, was a na
tive of the Dials community
near Gray Court. She was
a member of Bailey Memo
rial Methodist Church where
funeral services were held
Monday afternoon. Burial
was in Pinelawn Memory
Gardens.
Survivors, in addition to
her husband, include a daugh
ter, Mrs. J. L. (Patsy) Mc
Cauley of Clinton; two sons,
Jack and Tommy H. Wind
sor of Clinton; a sister, Mrs.
E. B. Kinsland of Laurens; a
brother, Dean Abercrombie of
Clinton; and four grandchil
dren.
Mrs. Jones
SPARTANBURG—Mrs. Nel
lie Dye Jones, 64, of 171
Rosewood St., Spartanburg,
died Sunday night at a Spar
tanburg hospital after a brief
illness.
She was the mother of W.
A. Jones and sister of Mrs.
Grace Owens, and Mrs. Ar
gil Simpson, all of Clinton.
Funeral services were con
ducted Tuesday afternoon at
Calvary Baptist Church in
Clinton arid burial was in
Rosemont Cemetery.
She had lived in Clinton
for a number of years and
was a member of Berea First
Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a
daughter, Mrs. J. L. (Ruth)
Teal of Spartanburg; four
other sisters, Mrs. Joanna
Wyatt and Mrs. Willie Mae
Anderson of Spartanburg and
Mrs. Edna McCarter of
Green; two brothers, D. M.
and Robert L. Dye of Spar
tanburg; three grandchildren
and a great-grandchild.
Mrs. Moseley
Funeral services for Mrs.
Lillian Hellams Moseley were
held Friday in Greenville.
She was a sister of Robert
B. Hellams of Clinton.
Mrs. fi Moseley, 78, of 109
Oregon St., Greenville, died
in a Greenville hospital after
three weeks of illness.
Otther survivors include
two daughters, two sons,
three sisters, another brother,
seven grand children and a
great-grandson.

Adrian Giles, student at the
College of Charleston, is
spending Christmas vacation
with Mr. Giles and his 'par

Giles. Yesterday he under
went surgery at Greenville
General Hospital where he is
a patient Mrs. Giles is in
Greenville with him.

Walter B. Ramage. Mrs.
Walter Ramage is the former
Nell Senn.
Before moving to Savan
nah, Mrs. Nichols was a
school teacher in Knoxville,
Tenn.
Other survivors include a
daughter, Barbara Joe Nich
ols; two sons, Steve H. and
Thomas Walter Nichols; a
brother, Walter S. Ramage of
Lakeland, Fla.
Funeral services were con
ducted Tuesday afternoon at
Epworth Methodist Church in
Savannah. Burial was in For
est Lawn Memory Gardens
in Savannah.

CAMERON — Marion Wil-
mouth Sullivan, brother of
Mrs. J. Leland Young of Clin
ton, died Saturday morning
in an Orangeburg hospital af
ter a long illness.
Mr. Sullivan, 42, was a na
tive of Laurens and was a
soil scientist with the Soil
Conservation Service.

WALHALLA — Major T.
(Mae) Gillespie, brother of
Lee Gillespie of Clinton, died
Friday at his home after a
long illness. ,
Mr. Gillespie was a native
of Rabun County, Ga., and
lived most of his life in Oco
nee County. He operated a
restaurant in Walhalla for
many years.
Other survivors include
two sons, two daughters, thee
other brothers, three sisters,
a half. brother, two half-sis
ters, and 12 grandchildren.
