(Peck) Cornwall is , convalescing following an ill ness. Dr. and Mrs. William Redd Turner, Jr. will arrive Thurs day for a visit here with Dr. Turner’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. Turner, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pitts of Columbia and Mr. and Mrs. P. Mark Pitts and sons of Ai ken were guests of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. P. M. Pitts, during the holidays. Major and Mrs. Richard Lukstat and children arrived in the city last week where Mrs. Lukstat and children will remain while he is on an ov erseas assignment. They will make their home on S. Mrs. James Gray spent the Christmas holidays visiting with relatives and friends in Richmond and Williamsburg, Va. Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Spear and Miss Janelle Spear of Kinston, N. C. spent the Christmas holidays with Miss Janelle Spence at Thomwell Orphanage. Holiday guests of Mrs. George King, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. George King, Jr. were the Kings’ daughter and sis ters, Mrs. Ray R. Morari, Lt. Col. Moran and family of Ft. Stewart, Ga.; and Mrs. Etric P. Cartman and Major Gart- man of Maryland. Phil Holland returned Tues day to Crossnore, N. C. to resume his studies, having spent the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holland. Visit In Alabama Mr. and Mrs. Jim Johnson spent the holiday weekend in Georgianna, Alabama with Mr. Johnson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Sr. Mrs. John W. Airman 3 class Tony Wind sor of Keesler Air Force Base, Miss, spent the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tan Windsor. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Koon and Kerry of Charleston and Mrs. Henry Koon of Spartan burg were guests of Mr. and Mrs. George T. Copeland dur ing the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brad- ham of Sumter spent the Christmas week-end with her aunt, Mrs. George Brocken- brough at her home, Caper’s Acres in Kinards. The Rev. and Mrs. Rembert Truluck and children, Debor ah and Russell of Louisville, Ky., spent last week with Mr. Truuck’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Truluck, Si. They are vis iting this week with Mrs. Tru- luck’s parents in Laurens and will return to Kentucky the first of the year where Rev. Truluck is attending the South ern Baptist Seminary. They were joined on Tuesday by the Rev. and Mrs. Hugh Eichelberger and children of Hendersonville, N. C. On Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Kent Krell and children of Columbia, joined them along with Mr. Krell’s mother and aunt, Mrs. George Krell and Miss Louise Chandler of Chicago, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Chand ler spent Christmas with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chandler in Columbia. They were joined there by Mr. and Mrs. Jim my Chandler ancj daughter of Spartanburg. J Mr. and Mfs. Jimmy Potts are spending several weeks at their home on ■ Lakewood Drive during the Christmas Holidays. In early January Mr. Potts will leave for Texas whgre he will continue train ing with the Army Reserves. Mrs. Potts will return to Rock Hill with her parents and will later join her husband in Tex as. A 2-C Harold A Coleman, Jr., who has been stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB, leaves this week for Bergerstrom AFB, Austin, Texas, where he has been transferred, after spend ing the -Ghristmas holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Coleman. Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Gaffney have returned from Fort Walton Beach, Fla., where they spent the holidays with their son and daughter- in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Mac Gaff ney.
