on Friday evening.
LOSES BROTHER
J. L. Delany was cailed to
Boston, Mass., recently due to
the death of his brother,
George B. Delany.
Capt. and Mrs. T. C. Mid
dleton and children of Wash
ington, D. C., are spending the
holdiays with the latter’s par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Bo-
die.
Recent guests of Mrs. L. D.
Edmonds were Mrs. B. H.
Johnson of Aiken, Mr. and
Mrs. L. S. Martin and Rev.
and Mrs. Clee BlackweH of Wa
terloo. While here they visited
Miss Buena Edmonds who is a
patient at Bailey Memorial
hospital.
T-Sgt. Virlyn Davenport was
sent to Vietnam in November,
where he woud be assigned for
a year or longer. He’s the son
of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Daven
port, Sr., who live on Reder
Street. Mrs. Davenport and
children, Carla, Julia Ann and
Virgil, Jr., moved from their
former station at Forbes AFB
in Kansas tp Millstadt, HI. Her
mother, Mrs. Clara Foster, is
with her at the present.
Mrs. Wayne Hill and children
spent last week-end in Bam
berg with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Gilbert Warren and visit
ed Mr. and Mrs. Hill in Den
mark while there.

lis attended a Christmas get-
together on Sunday at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Lollis in Princeton.
Mr. and Mrs. James Ktrb-
en of Joanna, Joined by Mrs.
Bobby Kitchens of Clinton,
were. Wednesday afternoon visi
tors in Spartanburg.

Harmon Murrah, Jr. The
young people sang carols, as
part of th evening’s enter
tainment. Also, the different

The large group enjoyed a
covered dish supper, being
furnished by the ladies.
A highlight of the evening for
the younger set was when they
wece presented gifts from the
tree.

home for a 10-day leave from
Fort Gordon, Ga., and will
leave on the 2nd of January
for Fort Dix, N. J.

Youth Fellowship was enteratin-

the home of Mrs. Nathan Bra

served to the group by Mrs.
Brasil and the co-hostess, Mrs.
Ray Bragg.

and family were called to Lake
land, Ga., recently due to the
death of the former’s father,
Curtis Sirmans. They remained
for the week, returning on Sun
