The ceremony was performed
by the Reverend W. McLeod
Frampton of Orangeburg, at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. C. G.
Frampton in Charleston at 5:30
in the afternoon. Poinsettias were
used to decorate the candlelight
ceremony.
The bride, the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Griffin Subiett
of this city, attended Columbia
College after graduation from
Clinton High School. For the past
year she has held an office po
sition with Standard Plywoods,
Inc.
The groom is the.son of D. B.
Durden, Sr., and .the late Mrs.
Durden of Columbia. He is a
graduate of Columbai High
School and attended Presbyterian
College. He holds a position with
the Commercial Credit Corpora
tion in Charleston and they are
making their home on Sullivan’s
Island.

have returned from a trip to New

Church met Monday evening at
the home of Mrs. S. P. Bowers.
Mrs. Bowers, vice-president,
presided and opened the meeting
with prayer. “Let All The Na
tions Praise Thee” was the topic
of the program led by Mrs. R. H.
Brown. Taking part were Mrs. J.
V. Stilwell, Mrs. L. P. Dailey and
Mrs. F. M. Boland. The meeting
cloaed with the mlspah benedic
tion. A social hour and refresh
ments were enojyed at the close
of the evetmig.

Thursday, December 29, at 3
o’clock at the home of the bride.

attended the ceremony.
Rev. Milford J. Sanders, bro
ther the groom, heard the nuptial
vows. Mrs. Allen Young, cousin
of the bride, furnished the wed
ding music. Miss Betty Bowman
of Greenville, roommate of the
bride at Winthrop College, at
tended her as maid of honor. The
groom was attended by his neph
ew, James J. Sanders, of this city
as best man.
The vows were spoken before
an arch of green fern adorned on
each side by greenery, bows of
palm branches and candles. A
mantel arrangement of white
gladioli and chrysanthemums
completed decorations for the
ceremony room. Elsewhere
thorughout the home the bridal
green and white motif was used
in appointments.
Miss Bowman wore a brown
wool dress with skin shoes, white
hat and gloves. Her flowers were
white carnations.
The bride was dressed in a
beige wool suit trimmed with a
mink collar. She wore brown
suede accessories and her bou
quet was white carnations can
tered with heart-shaped clusters
of pearls.

flanked on each side with can
dles.. Elsewhere in the room were
arangements of snapdragons and
chrysanthemums.

Stillwater, Oklahoma, presided
over the punch bowl, and Miss '-

cake.
The bride is a graduate of
Clinton High School and is a sen
ior at Winthrop College where
she will receive her BS degree in
education in June.
The groom is a graduate of Pa-
latka High School and has com
pleted three years of active duty
in the army. He is a junior at the
University of Florida, Gaines
ville, and is a member of the
Alpha Gamma Rho social frater
nity.

the devotional.
