at a four-course dinner. Miss

morning party at the home of Mrs.
Uulia Griffin on Tuesday. One
hundred and twenty-five guests

ranged for seventy-five who were

ed to the punch bowl which was

“Senator Dial seems to have made a
“killing” with the newspaper corre
spondents over in Washington, espe
cially those of our papers down in
this neck of the woods. He gets
“played up” nearly every day. It
may be that he Is doing big things
up in Washington, and we hope that
he is, but we sometimes wonder what
has become of “Cotton” Smith, and
if we have any congressmen over
there from down in South Carolina.
