n^STN'DTE CHILDREN OF
I.HXINGTON COUNTY.
Editor Dispatch-New*:
How in the world is there any connection
between the game birds and i
animals andi poor boys and girts of
Ijexlngton County? So, that's your 1
query after reding the above heading?
'That there'may become a very
vital and far reaching connection it is
the purpose of this article to show.
It is possible that evory time a game
license is bought in Oxington County
there may be a contribution both
toward the preservation of gome and
toward the care and education of
f>oor children. The Game Warden's
office exist?vfor the purpose of study'
ing game life in I*exington County,
improving it and protecting it; and
part of this purpose is gained, as
strange as it may seem, thru-the sale
of licenses. The De ia Howe State
Industrial School, WiUingtoti, S. C.,

resulting from the sale of game licenses

It is possible that many who
oppose the payment 6f a hunting license
foe would feel otherwise about
. it if they knew that some of th&t foe
would feed, clothe, shelter, and educate
some poor boy or girl 'of Lexington
County. The above is commended
to the consideration of all the
legislators and citizens of this county
who are interested both in the game

intelligent and sympathetic interest.
