Gilder C-lebrate The Twenty-Fifih Anniversary of Their Marriage. Dr. and Mrs. J. K. Gilder on Fri day evening, the 18th, celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage. The decorations were very beautiful. The handsome and spacious home was in gay Christ mas attire, each room being wreath edl and garlanded in holly and mis tletoe. Numerous palms and ferns, with great masses of crimson car nations dlotted here and there, added to the beauty of the scene. Brillhant electric lights, shiniing through red shades, lent a roseate glow. In the dining room the color scheme of red was further carried out. From the chandelier to the four corners of the table were stream ers of red satin ribbon, caught with holly. A tail vase of crimson carnations and ferns formed the cenitrepiece. CHRISTMAS DAY. Approfriate Services Will Be Held in the w Lutheran Church-An Appeal For Aid. . There is no day in the year upon which Christians should count it a greater privilege to worship in God's G S1 house than Christmas day. It is a m home (lay, full of joy and gladness, but it is first of all a day of gladness in the church. Appropriate services will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Re deemer on Christmas morning at i i o'clock. It is hoped that every G member of the congregation, who can possibly attend. will be present, G and all others are cordially invited to worship with them. G The congregation of the Lutheran churcli of Norfolk, Virginia, which was recently destroyed by fire, asks from all other Lutheran churches a Christmas offering to help them re- I build.
