He Has Finished His Fourth Year As Pastor
Of lewberry Circult--Complimen
tary Resolutions.
The Rev. D. P. Boyd has finished
his fourth'year as pastor of the New.
berry circuit and leaves today for
the meeting of the Methodist Con
ference in Greenville which. in pur
suance of the polity of the Meth:
4 hodist church, will send him else
where to work.
Rev. Mr. Boyd is a Newberry
county man, being a son of the Rev.
M. M. Boyd, who served the Metho
dist church for more than half a
century and who gave to the Church
three of his sons as preachers of the
ord and whose father also vas a
ethodist preacher. Mr. Boyd has

Unty apart from those of his cir

Whereas, In the polity of Methi
odism our present pastor, the Rev.
D. P. Boyd, having completed his
quadrennium, will not be reap
pointed to this charge, be it, by
this Quarterly Conferen e assem
a Resolved, 1st, That we do here
by express our high appreciation of
his untiring, unselfish ministry, as
we have felt the influence of his
godly life among us.
Resolved, 2d. That whenever lie,
in the wisdom of the chui-ch au
thorities, may providentially be
sent, we bid him Godspeed, trusting
t his work may be blessed with
a rich harvest of souls.
Resolved, 3d. That the secretary
be authorized to insert a copy of
these resolutions in the record, fur
nish a copy to the pastor men
tioned, and send them to the South
ern Christian Advocate for publi
tion.
