Our friend, Mr. James W. Win>urn,

On last Wednesday there was

"He took down a pine I coulk
have cut a cross tie out of arfyd
stuck it in the ground at ipy
feet."
"Say, let's shoot off his snout
so he can't be throwing chunks
and logs all about here."
"He has already killed that
dog. Some one go phone to
Hartsville and tell them to send
all the ammunition they have,
and if we can't use it in one gun
we can in another."
"Look out there. He will get
some of you over on that side.
I tell you this is no kitten we are
fooling with now, and we had
better put out his eyes so he
can't see."
I'll bet there's a whole wagon
load of lead in him this minute
and he just stands there and will
not fall."
"Go bring an ax some of you,
and cut his hind legs in two. I
bet that will bring him to the
ground."
"Scared to go back there? "No
let that fellow get there. His
snout is shot off and his eyes are
out, what can he do?"
"I told you that was the only
way to throw him, and you see
he's ours now."
