Notice Is hereby given that the several Tracts or
Lots of Land sitaated in the State of Sonth Carolina,
hereinafter described, have become forfeited to the
United States by reason of the non-payment of the direct
taxes charged thereon, noder the apt entitled, "An
act to provide increased revenue from imports, to pay
interest on the public debt and for other purposes," approved
August 5s 1891, and an act entitled, "An act for

June 7,1869, and that the same will be sold at
pnblic auction on the 11th day of February, A. D.,
1&3, at lo o'clock A. M. of said day, at the offlce of the
Direct Tax Commissioners under said Acta, for the State
of South Carolina, in the Town of Beaufort, in the
Parish of St Helena, Beaufort District and State aforesaid
; and that the sale of the same will be continued
from day to day until all of said Lota and Tracts of
Laud are finally disposed of.
The following is a description of said kadi forfeited
as aforesaid, together with the amonnt of fht quota of
said tax and penalty charged upon each of Mid tracts or
lots of land, respectively:
