When a Count)- Yote - Out tli
Dispensary it Must Stay Out
for Four Yeats.
Special to News and Courier.
Columbia, July 19.?The point
Has been raised as to now long trie
counties that vote out dispensaries
will remain "dry" in a legal
way when the dispensary is voted
out.
It appears that the law is that if
an election is held to vote out
the dispensary and fails it cannot
be tried again for four years, and
the dispensary remains for four
years. The counter proposition
also holds. If an election i- held,
and the dispensary i> voted out of
a county it cannot be voted back
into tne county tor tour years, in
fact, no election c.m he held.
There may, however, he- a
change in the statue law, hunt
under the Rricc bill as it now
stands on election every tour y oris
all that can be held,
