Mr W F Cook, a prominent itizen of Kershaw, whose serious lness was noted in our last issue, ied on Sunday night last, May , 1905, at the Rock Hill hospital 'here he was operated 011 last rriday afternoon for appendicitis, lis wife and children, Dr I. T ircgory, and his kinsman, Mr Js t. Cook, of this place, were at hi edside when the end came. Mr Cook was the only son of "ulp Cook who was killed in the he civil war, at the battle of Vcvillian Station. His mother lied when he was but six weeks >ld, and he was reared by his [raudfather, the late Amos Cook, >r. He was born in 1859 and vas 46 years of age at the time This death. In 1887 he was narried to Miss Mollie Gregory, 1 daughter of the late W Harrison jregory, and she with four chilIren. the oldest. Vrmic -> itudent of the 3 C College, survives him. Mr Cook was a useful and pro grcssive man and his death it (specially a great Josh to the town >f Kershaw, with which he has jren prominently identified since le moved there about twelve fears ago.
