Poisonous or Dop?d.
What the Policy of (troenr lie Say
About Dispensary Whiskey-Driving
Men to tho Asylum
(From the Anders tiDaily Mail)
The people of Greenville think
thoro is something queer about
the whiskey <!ir?j eased lrom the
Slate lupioi establishment in tho
town, both of tho Greenville daily
papers hare made comments on
its uuusuul ellccts. The News has
tho following.
iii : 11 i il i -.
--mupior soiu t>y me county
dispens trios, of Greenville is
either poisoned or doped according
to the police. Within the past
ten days nearly a score of victims
have heen picked up on the
streets They were iu torrihlc
chape. With hi )Q Lhot eyes, w ith
hps purple and bleeding from
gnashing of the tooth, they rnvod
in cells and and acted like do
mons, from a crazy house.
"Last night a white man who
was well dressed and intelligent
to all appearances was found in
tho rain, while- making desperate
efforts to heat out his brains
ugainst a brick wall. His lips
were purple, and tie was so crazy
that he could not give his name.
A dispensary ll i>k partially empty
told the story of his rendition.
It was an unusual case, judged by
others which have come to the
attention of the police, and the
0| inn u is general that tho cheap
liquor sold by the State is driving
tho drunkards to the asylum.
Before midnight the prisoner was
trying to end his lifo.
A TOUCHING STORY

girl was in declining health, with
serious Throat Trouble, and two
physicians gave her up. We were
almost in despair, when wo resolved
to try Dr. King's New Dis*

and Colds. The first bottle gave
relief ;uftor taking four bottles she
was cured, and is now in perfect
health." Never fails to relievo
