Letter to J. J. Chorry & Co.
Lancaster, B. C.
Dear Sirs: "Three-quarer" is
a good phrase for tho best outside
of Dovoe. Devoe is tho
standard ; murk it 100. Tho nextbest?there
are several not far
apart?are three-quarter paints ;
yeu may mark them 75 to Devoe'a
100.
Tho bulk of tho paints in
market are 10 or 50 or GO ; a leware
better than 60; a few are I
worse than 40
How do tiioy act? They covor
from one to throe-quarters as
much as Devoo ; and they last
from ono to three-quarters as
lon? as Dovoe.
What aro they worth? The
same rule don't"hold ; it costs
more to put-on somo paints than
thoy nro worth ; they are not
worth anything ; tho"put-on"
' costs two or throe tiro s as much
?
as the paint.
Yours truly,
