Newberry, S. C., Dec. 0.? j
Among those who went from j
Newberry to Oklahoma several ^
weeks ago, to attend the great
land sale at that place, was Mr. e
J. B. Setzler, of I\>maria. While j
returning home, Mr. Setzler pull 1
ed an old gentleman from the
track in front of a moving train i
at Little Rock, Ark., thereby
saving his life. The gentleman i
whoso name is not known, out of I
appreciation, offered to pay Mr. ^
Setzler. The offer, however, was (
refused by the youna man, who '
hurried to board his train, which
was about to pull out. After |
the train had left Little Rock ,
several miles behind, Mr, Setzlerlj.
was approached by the porter, i
who gave him an elegent lunch 1
with the compliments of the old I
gentleman, whose life lie had ^
saved. Upon opening up the j
carton containing the lunch, the J
young man was surprised to find
lying in the box, several bills of
large denomination, a gift of the (
citizen of Little Rock, whose j
life he had saved. t
