Society work is well under way.
Allow the editor to say just here that
it is the duty of each and every mem
ber to attend society regularly and to
do his duty whenever he is given any
C work, literary or otherwise, to do.
t5 Men, don't shirk your duty. When
C you are assigned to read, to declaim,
or to debate, come up and do the best
you can-nobody could ask more of
you, and this is all your society expects
S of you. The benefit of the training in
a literary society is inestimable, and
need not be dwelt on here-suffice it
to say that, though you may not see
the importance now, of this training,
the day will come when you will per
haps be hopelessly aware of it. Men,
do not wait until it is too late-begin
now.
Mr. J. F.- Carter, 'o5, and Mr.
Henry T. Bouchier, 'o8, members of
the Euphradian Society, paid the so
ciety a visit last Saturday night." Both
addressed the society in a few well
chosen remarks. The society is always
glad to welcome its alumni within its
walls.
The debate last Saturday night on
the query, Resolved, "That the qual
ifications for voting in the Democratic
promary should be the same as those
in the general election," was won by
the negative, represented by Messrs.
Rich and McDonald.
