The Dvinsk battle front still claims
the greatest attention is centered on
the fighting in the eastern sono.. The
Germans are now launching an at
tempt to take the city from the
north.
Tho onslaught exceeds in violence
the previous attacks from the west
and south. The Russians ndmit the
loss of part of their trenches, ten
miles north of 'Tvinek. On tho rest
of the eastern front, just who Is on
the offensive Is in doubt. There Is
German artillery fire on the whole
western front. It is particularly vio
lent against Loos, and the left wing
of the allies in Champagne..

Central News, forwarded from Sofia
says Premier Redoslavoft informed
the Greek minister that the landing
of allied troops at Saloniki was ato
in harmony with u:Je avowed attitude
of the Greek government toward Bul
garia. The premier added that the
Bulgarian cablnnet could not be re
sponsible fur a change of feeling on
the -part of the Bulgarian people. The
Bulgarian mlnlsteT at Athens said ha
had been instructed to make similar
representations.
