The flour mill ordered sometime
ago by the Burrlss Milling company,
which has Us quarters In the old
union depot building, bas arrived and
within a few days will be lustalied and
ready for business. The mill 1B
Midget Marvel, and has a capacity or
50 barrels per day.
To Begin Car Track
Paring la Few Days.
It was stated yesterday by Mr. H.
A. Orr, manager of the Anderson
barnch of the Southern Public Utili
ties company, that the paving material
for the street car tracks was being re
ceived and within a few days a car of
structural steel wll arrive and work
will go right ahead. Thc old 55 pound
rails on South Main street will be
replaced by 70 pound rails.

WilliaatstoB Park.
The Piedmont tmd Northern has
put on special rates on all their lines
to Williamston where a bond concert
will be given this afternoon. It is
expected that a large crowd will go

Motor Road Machine a Success.
Kinston, May 29.-The motor road
machine of the Lenoir county force is
being seen by the commissioners ot
a number of other East Carolina
counties. An agent of the manufac
turers hss demonstrated lt to advan
tage recently. Pasquotonk and Pitt
counties have purchased similar ma
chines, and Greene county ls ex pect
ed to follow snit. Lenoir county will
purchase another, Intending to main)}
tain 800 miles of roads with the two.
Wheat Harvest.
The wheat crop ls almost ready for
harvest and the reapers and binders
will be running next week. The few
water mills In the county equipped to
make flour will soon be overrun with
