HAS opened its first session for the pres
ent year under the most favorable auspi
ces, and with a largely increased patro
nage. This Seminary is situated on the
range of the High Hill« of Santee, celebra
ted for salubrity of climate, purity of water,
and beauty of scenery. The company
have spared neither labor nor expense in
providing every thing necessary tor the
comfort and progress of the pupils. They
have had the good fortune to secure the
services of able and competent teachers. In
the well established reputatfcn of the Prin
cipal, (the Rev. Edwin Caxer) for high
literdry attainments and moral worth, they
have the guarantee that his supervision
must impart to every one associated with
