Whereas in formation has been received at this Depart ment, that Thvinas Daley, alias Kenan, w ho was committed to the jail of Beaufort District for negro stealing, broke jail a few days since, and made his escape f now therefore I, J. H. Means, Governor of the State of South Carolina, do hereby offer a reward of one hundub dollar* for his apprehension and delivery into any jail in tins 'State. The said Daley, alias Kenan is about forty-five years old, five feet five or six inches high, rather stout, blue eyes, front teeth out, and is an Irishman by birth. # S —'v*- , Given under my hand and the L.
