occupied has been purchased lbr a private residence,
and that he has taken the Large and Commodious
Hotel, one door north of the Court House, formerly
kept by Mr. B. f. boyj>.
It is one of the most Pleasant and Comfortable IIotels
in the State, every Room having a fire-place, well ]
ventilated and Ladies' rarlors well furnished.
His TABLE shall compare favorably with anv in the
Up-Country. The Servants will be fouud respectful

Florida Lands for Sale.

A TRACT, well known as the 'Toit Dranc" Plantation,
containing 3,000 acres ol Land, principally tirst
quality haniinock, between four and live hundred
icres of which are thoroughly cleared and at present
in cultivation. This place lor seveial years averaged
tw o hogsheads ol Sugar to the acre, and every year that
it has been cultivated lias produced line crops oi Corn
md Cotton. These tracts could readily be divided into
two or three plantations, each being surrounded by j
high rolling pine land.
A TRACT of l.uOO acres on Orange Lake, consis.ing
of hammock, orange grove and well timbered pine
land. I
TWO TRACTS of 1,000 each, near the Alelmn
Prairie. The greater part of these tracts is rich hammock.
Also, 5.000 acres on Indian river. Any one wishing
lo cultivate Sugar Cane would do well to examine this
land, as, being remarkably tortile, and lying south of
the region of frost, it is as well adapted to that eu.ture
us any in the United States.
12.000 acres, generally known as the "Bayard j
Tract," situated on the St. John's Riter, opposite
I'icolata. There are many small hammocks and oruiigc
groves on this tract, but it is principally valuable tor
its pine timber. It lias a river front of 7 or 8 miles.
1,000 acres on Lake George, and several small tracts
t j and near the St. John's river, well situated for farm

The above tracts of Land were purchased by the
late Gen. Clinch immediately alter the accession of
Floiida to the United States. From his positional
that time, his facilities for selection were unusually j
