THE GREAT SUMMER MEDICINE !
DR. GUYSOTTS IMPROVED EXTRACT OF
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla,
FOR the cure of all diseases or disorders gene
rated by impure blood. Its great success
justly entitles it to the name of the Great Ameri
can specific.
So far as it is known it is universally apprecia
ted, and many eminent physicians use it daily ii
their practice with the most happy effects, ani
certify that it is the best extract in existence, anc
the only one that stands the test of time.
Every year adds to its great popularity, an<
multiplies its astounding cures. The victim o
Hereditary Scrofula, with supporting glands, ho
nev-combed flesh, and caries eating into his bones
finds Guysott's Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilia bain
for his affliction. His horrible torments are as.su
aged, and his malady not only relieved, but per
fectly cured.
It may be safely asserted, from the results o
past experience, that "Dr. Guvsott's Extract o
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilia," is, beyond all com
parison, the most wonderful remedy on earth fo
the following diseases, and a!l others proceedim
from vitiated blood: Scrofula, or King's Evil
Rheumatism, Obstinate Cutaneous Eruptions
Pimples or Pustules on the face, B otcln s, Boils
Chronic Sore Eyes, Ringworm or Tetn-r, Scab
Head, Enlargement and Pains of the Bones ant
Joints, Stubborn Ulcers, Syphilitic Lumbago, am
Diseases arising from an injudicious use of Aler
cury, Xcitus or Dropsy, Exposure or Imprudcnci
in Life, Liver Complaint, Ague and Fever, Inter
mitting Fever, Cholera Morbus, Dysentery, Diarr
ha.-a, Plethora of Blood in the I lead, Piles, Paim
in the Back, Sides, Breast or Loins, and all form:
of .Muscular, Glandular, and Skin diseases.
It is a sovereign specific for General Debility
and the best rcnovater for a Broken Constitution
It braces and reinvigoratcs every organ, promote,
actictity and regularity in every function, an<
produces that condition of the whole physical sys
teni which is the best security lor long lite.
Let all who wish to purge the blood from tin
impurities contracted lroinlt.ie free indulgence o
the appetite during the winter, and to prepare thi
system to resist summer epidemics, resort now t<
"Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsapa
rilla," which is proving itself an antidote for ma
ny of the most malignant diseases that flesh ii
heir to, and they will never he disappointed, for ii
this remedy the public laith has never wavered?
never can waver; for it is founded on experience
just as their want of faith in other and spurioui
compounds is also founded in experience. Thm
fly from mineral nostrums to seek hope, life, anc
vigor from this purely vegetable remedy. There
fore, however broken down in health and spirits
however loathesome to himself and others, let nc
one despair of recovery; let the patient only un
derstand that this hope of physical restoratioi
lies only in " Guysott's Extract of Yellow Docl
and Sarsaparilla," and persuade him for his life's
sake to try it, and we have no hesitation in pre
dieting his speedy restoration to health.
As a means of regulating all the functions o
woman's delicate organization, it has no equal it
materia niedica, and at that ciitical period of lili
when the first stage of her decline commences
its cordial and invigorating properties will cnublt
her to pass the crisis safely.

' It is seldom we permit ourselves to occtip
a space in these columns to speak in praise of an;
article in the patent mebiciue way: but win it wi
see the lili- of a fellow-creature saved by the use o
any medicine whatever, we consider it as on
right, it not our duty, to give a simple statcincn
of facts, that others may, in like manner, be bene
fitted. The case which has induced us to pet
this article was that ofa young lady of our acijuain
tance, who by frequent exposure to the night aii
contracted a Cold which settled on the Lungs he
fore its ravages could be stayed. (This occurrei
two years ago this winter) Various romedie;
were used, but with very little effect or benefit.?
The Cough grew worse, with copious expectora
tion, and the sunken eye, and pale, hollow cheek*
told plainly that pulmonary disease was doing it;
worst on her delicate frame. The family physi
cian was consulted, and although ho would nut ad
mit to the young lady that she really had the Con
sumption, yet ho would give no encouragement a,
to a cure. At this crisis her mother was per-na
ded to make use of a bottle of I)>\ Rogers' Com
pound Syrup of Liverwort and Tar, ami we ari
happy to state she was perfectly cured in less thai
three months hv this medicine alone, alter evei
hope was destroyed. It is useless to commentm
such a case as this, for the simple truth will read
where poii -hed lietion never can. If any doub
