GU7S0TTSIMPROVED EXTRACT OF Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla, FOR the cure of all diseases or disorders generated by impure blood. Its great success justly entitles it to the name of the Great American snprifie. So far as it is kn6wn it is universally appreciated, and many eminent physicians use it daily in their practice with the most happy effects, and certify that it is the best extract in existence, and the only one that stands the test of time. Every year adds to its great popularity, and multiplies its astounding oures. The victim of Hereditary Scrofula, with supporting glands, honey-combed flesh, and caries ealing into his bones, finds Guysott's YellowDock and Sarsaparilla balm for his affliction. His horrible torments are assuaged, and his malady not only relieved, but perfectly cured. It may be safely asserted, from the results of past experience, that " Dr. Guysott's Extract ot Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla," is, beyond all comparison, the most wonderful remedy on earth for the following diseases, and all others proceeding from vitiated blood: Scrofula, or King's Evil, Rheumatism, Obstinate Cutaneous Eruptions, Pimples or Pustules on the face, Blotches, Boils, Chronic Sore Eyes, Ringworm or Tetter, Scald Head, Enlargement and Pains of the Bones and Joints, Stubborn Ulcers, Syphilitic Lumbago, and Diseases arising from an injudicious use of Mercury, Acites or Dropsy, Exposure or Imprudence in Life, Liver Complaint, Ague and Fever, Intermitting Fever, Cholera Morbus, Dysentery, Diarrhoea, l'lethora of Blood in the Head, Piles, Pains in the Back, Sides, Breast or Loins, and all forms of Muscular, Glandular, and Skin diseases. It is a sovereign specific for General Debility, and the best renovator for a Broken Constitution. It braces and reinvigorates every organ, promotes actictity and regularity in every function, and produces that condition of the whole physical system which is the best security for long life. Let all who wish to purge the blood from the impurities contracted from tie free indulgence of the appetite during the winter, and to prepare the system to resist summer epidemics, resort now to " Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla," which is proving itself an antidote for many of the most malignant diseases that flesh is heir to, and they will never bs disappointed, for in this remedy the public laith has never wavered? never can waver; for it is founded on experience, just as their want of faith in other and spurious compounds is also founded in experience. They fly from mineral nostrums to seek hope, life, and vigor from this purely vegetable remedy. Therefore, however broken down in health and spirits, however loathesome to himself and others, let no one despair of recovery; let the patient only understand that this hope of physical restoration lips milv iii ?* Gnvsntt's Extract of Yellow Dock I and Sarsaparilla," and persuade him for his life's sake to try it, and we have no hesitation in predicting his speedy restoration to health. As a means of regulating all the functions ot woman's delicate organization, it has no equal in materia medica, and at that ciitical period of life when the first stage of her decline commences, its cordial and invigorating properties will enable her to pass the crisis safely. Dr. Rogers' Liverwort and Tar, A SAFE and certain cure for Coughs, Colds, Croup, Asthma, Consumption of the Lungs, Spitting oi'Blood, Bronchitis, llooping Cough, and all Pulmonary Affections. j A Lovely Young Lady cured of Consumption. IO" The following is from the pen of VVm. H. Levison, Esq., the distinguished editor of the U S. Military and Naval Argus, under date New Ofl 1RUM.ot pniiltl ho ittnro XUItV, JUIJUdiJ' AWV r . ..u? vvt.iv. ...W.W conclusive 1 "It is seldom we permit ourselves to occupy a space in these columns to speak in praise of any article in the patent mebicine way; but when we see the life of a fellow-creature saved by the use of any medicine whatever, we consider it as our right, it not our duty, to give a simple statement of facts, that others may, in like manner, be benelitted. The case which has induced us to pen this article was that of a young lady ofour acquaintance, who by frequent exposure to the night air, contracted a Cold which settled on the Lungs before its ravages could be stayed. (This occurred two years ago this winter) Various remedies were used, but with very little effect or benefit.? The Cough grew worse, with copious expectoration, and the sunken eye, and pale, hollow cheeks, told plainly that pulmonary disease was doing its worst on her delicate frame. The family physician was consulted, and although he would not admit to the young lady that she really had the Consumption, yet he would give no encouragement as to a cure. At this crisis her mother was persuaded to make use of a bottle of Dr. Rogers' CoinI pound Syrup of Liverwort and Tar, and we are I happy to state she was perfectly cured in less than three months hy this medicine alone, alter even hope was destroyed. It is useless to comment on such a case as this, for the simple truth will reach where polished fiction never can. If any doubt the authenticity of this statement, let them call at this office.?U. S. Military and A'aval Argus, Xu. 19 Chatham street, N. Y. Testimonies of the N. Y. Press. From the New Vork Courier, Aug. 13, 1850. ^ Dr. Rogers' Syrup of Liverwort and Tar.? We have heard of several important cures recently effected by this exc dlent medicinal preparation, i and in one instance that came under our observation, we can speak confidently. One of our em- i ployees, who had suffered severely from a long 1 standing cold, during the past week commenced the nse of this medicine, and his Cold has entirely disappeared. From the New York Mirror, Sep. 2, 1S50. I Liverwort and Tar.?Of the virtbes of Dr. , Rogers' Cough Medicines prepared from the above , articles, tt is needless now to speak ; its efficacy in speedily curing Coughs, Colds, and other lung ] complaints, which too frequently, if neglected, re. suit in Consumption, is too well established in publie confidence to need eulogy now. HOUGHTON'S Prepared from RENNET, or t^e fourth STOMACH OF THE OX, afrer directions of BARON LIEBIG, the great Physiological Chemist, by J. S. HOUGHTON, M. D. Philadelphia, Pa. This is a truly wonderful remedy for INDIGESTION, DYSPEPSIA. JAUNDICE, LIVER COMPLAINT, CONSTIPATION, and DEBILITY, Curing after Nature's own method, by Nature's own Agent, the Gastric Juice USfllalf a teaspoonful of Pepsin, infused in water, will digest or dissolve, Five Pounds of Roast Bef in about two hours, out of the stomach. PEPSIN is the chief element, or Great Digesting Principle of the Gastric Juice?the Solvent of the Food, the Purifying, Preserving, and Stimulating Agent of the Stomach and Intestines. It is extracted from the Digestive Stomach of the Ox, thus forming an ARTIFICIAL DIGESTIVE FLUID, precisely like the natural Gastric Juice in its Chemical powers, and furnishing a COMPLETE and PERFECT SUBSTITUTE for it. By the aid of this preprration, the pains and evils of INDIGESTION and DYSPEPSIA are removed, just as they would be by a healthy Stomach. It is doing wonders for Dyspeptics, curing cases of DEBILITY, EMACIATION, NERVOUS DECLINE, and DYSPEPTIC CONSUMPTION, supposed to be on the verge of the crave. The Scientific Evidence upon which it is based, is in the highest degree CURIOUS and REMARKABLE. SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE! BARON LIE BIG in his celebrated work pn Animal Chemistry, says: "An Artificial Digestive Fluid, analogous to the Gastric Juice, may be readily prepared from the mucous membrane of the stomach of the Ox, in which various articles ot food, as meat and eggs, will be softened, changed, and digested, just in the same manner as they would be in the human stomach."
