THE GREAT SUMMER MEDICINE !' '1
DR. G UYSOTrS IMPR J VELD EXTRACT OF
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparillaj
FOR the cure of all diseases or disorders generated
by impure blood. Its great success
justly entitles it to the name of the Great American
specific.
So far as it is known it is universally apprecia
ted, and many eminent physicians use it daily in
their practice with the most happy effects, and
certify that it is the best extract in existence, and
1 the only one that stands the test of time.
Every year adds to its .great popularity, and
multiplies its astounding cures. The victim of
Hereditary Scrofula, with supporting glands, honey-combed
flesh, and caries eating into his bones,
finds Guysott's Yellow Dock and Saivaparilla balm
i -for his affliction. His horrible torment* are assu1
aged, and his malady not only relieved, but perfectly
cured.
It may he safely assertpd, from the results of
. past experience, that "Dr. Guysott's Extract ol
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla," is, beyond ancom;
parison, the most wonderful remedy on earth for
the following diseases, and a 1 others proceeding
" from vitiated blood: Scrofula, or King's Evil,
Rheumatism, Obstinate Cutaneous Eruptions,
Pimples or Pustules on the face, B otches, Boils,
1 Chronic Sore Eyes, Ringworm or Tetier, Scald
Head, Enlargement and Pains of the Bones and
Joints, Stubborn Ulcers, Syphilitic Lumbago, and
Diseases arising from an injudicious use of Mercury,
Acites or Dropsy, Exposure or Imprudence
' in Life, Liver Complaint, Ague and Fever, Intermitting
Fever, Cholera Morbus, Dysentery, Diarrhoea,
Plethora of Blood in the Head, Piles, Pains
} in the Back, bides, Breast or Loins, and all forms
of Muscular, Glandular, and Skin diseases. '
1 It is a sovereign specific for General Debility,
and the best renovater for a Broken Constitution.
It braces and reinvigorates every organ, promotes
actictity and regularity in every function, and
produces that condition of tlje whole physical system
which is the best security for long life.
Let ail who wish to purge the blood from the
impurities contracted from tae free indulgence ol
the appetite during the winter, and to prepare the
system to resist summer epidemics, resort now to
"Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla,"
which is proving itself sn antidote for many
of the most malignant diseases that flesh is
heir to, and they will never be disappointed, for in
this remedy the public faith has never wavered?
never can waver; for it is founded on experience,
just as their want of faith in other and spurious
compounds is also founded in experience. They
fly from mineral nostrums to seek hope, life, and
vigor from this purely vegetable remedy. Therefore,
however broken down in health and spirits,
however loathesoine to himself and others, let ns
one despair of recovery; let the patient only understand
that this hope ot .physical restoration
.lies only in "Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock
and Sarsaparilla," and persuade him for his life's
sake to try it, and we have no hesitation in pred.cting
his speedy restoration to health.
. As a means of regulating all the functions o
woman's delicate organization, it has no equal ir
materia medica, and at that ciitical period of .flt
when the first stage of her decline commences
its cordial and invigorating properties will enabk
her to pass the crisis safety

Dr. Rogers' Liverwort and Tar,
A SAFE and certain cure for Coughs, Colds

I A Lovely Young Lady cured of Consumption
ID" The following is from the ppn of Win, H

York. January 20, 1850. What could be mor
conclusive ?
"It is seldom we permit ourselves to occup;
a space in these columns to speak in praise of an;
article in thp patent mebicine way; but when wi
see the life of a fellow-creature saved by the use o
any medicine whatever, we consider it as ou
right, it not our duty, to give a simple statemen
of facts, that others may, in like manner, be bene
fitted. The case which has induced us to pei
this article was that ot'a young lady ofour acquain
t a nee, who by frequent exposure to the night air
contracted a Cold which settled on the Lungs be
fore its ravages could be stayed. (This occurrec
two years ago this winter) Various remedies
were used, but with very little effect or benefit.?
The Cough grew worse, with copious expectora
tion, and the sunken eye, and pale, hollow cheeks
told plainly that pulmonary disease was doing it:
?' ? nil Lor 4r rt\o Tlio ta mill/ nKl'QI
nan was consulted, and although he would not ad
mit to the young lady that e* really had the Con
sumption, ytt he would give no encouragement ai
to a cure. At this crisis her mother was persua
ded to make use of a bottle of Dr. Rogers' Com
pound Syrup of Liverwort and Tar, and we an
happy to state she was perfectly cured in less thar
three months hy this medicine alone, after ever
hope was destroyed. It i6 useless to comment or
such a case as this, for the simple truth will react
where polished fiction never can. If any doub

Dr. Rogers' Svrup or Liverwort and Tar.?
We have heard of several important cures recently
effected by this excellent medicinal preparation

we can speak confidently. One of our employees,
