THE GREAT SUMMER MEDICINE !
DR. GUYSOTTSIMPROVED EXTRACT OF
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla,
FOR the cure of all diseases or disorders generated
by impure blood. Its great success
justly entitles it to the name of the Great American
specific.
So far as it is known it is universally apprecia
ted, and many eminent physicians use it daily in
v their practice with the most happy effects, and
^Certify that it is the best extract in existence, and
the only one that stands the test of time.
Every year adds to its great popularity, and
multiplies its astounding cures. The victim of
j Hereditary Scrofula, with supporting glands, hoi
...... ail/i naripci patins? into hia bones.
I finds Guysott's Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla balm
I lor his affliction. His horrible torments are assu!
aged, and his malady not only relieved, but perfectly
cured.
It may be safely assertpd, from the results of
, i past experience, that "Dr. Guysott's Extract ol
j Yellow Dock and Sar.-aparilla," is, beyond allcom:
parison, the most wonderful remedy on earth for
ihe following diseases, and ail others proceeding
from vitiated blood: Scrofula, or King's Evil,
Rheumatism, Obstinate Cutaneous Eruptions,
Pimples or Pustules on the face, B otches, Boils,
1 Chrouic Sore Eyes, Ringworm or Tetter, Scald
Head, Enlargement and Pains of the Bones and
Joints, Stubborn Ulcprs, Syphilitic Lumbago, and
Diseases arising from an injudicious use of Mer'
cury, Acites or Dropsy, Exposure or Imprudence
' in Life, Liver Complaint, Ague and Fever, Intermitting
Fever, Cholera Morbus, Dysentery, Diarrhoea,
Plethora of Blood in the Head, Piles, Pains
in the Back, Sides, Breast or Loins, and all forms
of Muscular, Glandular, and Skin diseases.
I It is a sovereign specific for General Debility,
and the best renovater for a Broken Constitution.
It braces and reinvigorates every organ, promotes
actictity and regularity in every function, and
produces that condition of the whole physical sys
tem which is the best security tor long lire.
Let all who wish to purge the blood from the
impurities contracted from t.ie Iree indulgence ol
the appetite during the winter, and to prepare the
system to resist summer epidemics, resort now to
"Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilia,"
which is proving itself en antidote for maJ
ny ot the most malignant diseases that flesh is
: heir to, and they will never be disappointed, for in
I this remedy the public laith has never wavered?
never can waver; for it istoundedon experience,
just as their want of faith in other and spurious
compounds is also founded in experience. They
fly from mineral nostrums to seek hope, life, and
vigor from this purely vegetable remedy. There1
fore, however broken down in health and spirits,
however luathesome to himself and others, let no
one despair of recovery; let the patient only understand
that this hope ot physical restoration
lies only in " Guysott's Extract of Yellow Dock
and Sarsaparilla," and persuade him for his life's
sake to try it, and we have no he.-itation in predicting
his speedy restoration to health.
As a means of regulating all the functions ol
woman's delicate organization, it has no equal in
materia medica, and at that ciitical period of life
when the first stage of her decline commences,
its cordial and invigorating properties will enable
her to pass the crisis safely

ID* Tht' following is from the pen of Wm. II

" It is seldom we permit ourselves to occnpj
a space in these columns to speak in praise of any
article in the patent mebicine way: but when wt
see the life of a fellow-creature saved by the use o;
any medicine whatever, we consider it as oui
right, it not our duty, to give a simple statemeni
of facts, that others may, in like manner, be bene,
fitted. The case which has induced us to pen
this article was that ofa young lady of our acquaintance,
who by frequent exposure to the night air
contracted a Cold which settled on the Lungs be.
fore its ravages could be stayed. (This occurred
two years ago this winter) Various remedies
were used, but with very little effect or benefit.?
The Cough grew worse, with copious expectoraI
lion, and the sunken eye, and pale, hollow cheeks
i told plainly that pulmonary disease was doing its
! worst on her delicate frame. The family physi!
ciiiu was consulted, and although he would not adj
mil to the young lady that she really had the Con!
sumption, yet he would give no encouragement as
! to a cure. At this crisis her mother was persua
1 rl> t] to mane use or a oonie or i>r. uogerv v.oinp
nirul Syrup of Liverwort and Tar, and we are
j happy to state she was perfectly cured in less than
I three months t>y this medicine alone, alter even
; hope was destroyed. It is useless to comment on
such a case as this, for the simple truth will reach
where polished fiction never can. If any doubl
