Early Contracts for Hogs.?The Louisville
Journal states that contracts are already
making for hogs to be packed next winter. One
lot have been contracted for 100 head at $4.25
net, and another for 100 head at $4 net, both
lots to average 200 pounds, and to be delivered
at Madison between the 10th and 20th of December
next

York Legislature, after an investigation into the trust
funds of the Chancery Court, have reported that there
is nearly a million and a half of dollars now held in
trust; and that the rightful owners of nearly a million
of this large sum are unknown.

Directing the restrictions under which Wagons
and other Vehicles shall haul in and about the
corporate limits of the Town of Camden, S. C.,
and for other purposes therein mentioned.
Section 1st. Be it ordained by the Intendant
and Wardens of the Town of Catnden in Town
Council assembled, and it is hereby ordained by
the authority of the same, that from and after
the ratification of this Ordinance, every wagon
subject to a tax within the Corporate limits of
- the Town of Camden, which shall haul at one load
exceeding Twelve Bales of Cotton, Twenty Sacks
of Salt, or any other merchandise, or wriyht over
four thousand, pounds, shall pay into the Town
Treasury for such privilege Twcnty-Jivc Dollars,
in addition to the Tax now paid.

to comply with the above requisitions,

shall pay into the Town Treasury a Tax of Ten
Dollars per Annum.
