The contribution is to entitled the payor to scrip in the stock of the company. Those who have paid installments on stock arc to ne croon, u wnn uic amount upon this tax. It is computed that the contribution will amount to two hunded thousand dollars por annum, making ;i million of dollars in live years. The vote was nearly unaiinous in favor of the tax?S.O" 1 as yeas, and 7 noes. The deceased had been a devotedly pious member of tlie Baptist Church for forty years. She has left a largo family of children and numerous relatives and friends to mourn the loss of a kind and devoted mother an af. . .? i -a... ...
