City of Augusta be renewed for the establishment
of a Depot on the Georgia side of the river, that!
no proposition for such object be entertained, un-1
less coupled with one for uniting the Georgia !
and South Carolina lloads by a continuous track. ;

tors are well assured of an organization and subscription
which places the completion of the projected
liailroad under Charters which have been
recently granted by the States ofOcorgia, North
Carolina and Tennessee, from Anderson, in -this |

Directors he authorized to subscribe to the capital

Violent Death.?We learn that .Tamer W. j
Skgaks, of this District, was found on last Thursday,
near the house of one Daniel John in a
state of insensibility, and died a sh..rt time after
he was found. A Coroner's inquest has l>een
v held over tin; Ixxly of the deceased, but we have
not heard their verdict. We learn, however,
fi-oiii a brother of the deceased that bruises of a
^ t serious character were found on difTerent {tortious
of his body ujtoii a jKtst mortem examination.?
We learn further that thercjiad been a difficulty
between Skgars aud John, sometime last spring.
We will give particulars when ascertained.
