L HeollTC'cf Mr. Clay.?From the following
letter, addressed by Mr. Clay to Dr. Bostwick of
New Yofk','it will be aeon that his Own eoiiviction
is that hhf Cdfklition is-critical:
^\VAstuSotos|iTan.'lG, 1^7)2.
' My Dl-ar Sir: 1 received your letter of the
12th instant, and although' 156o'Xveak" mvself to
write in any comfort, I cannot forbear,-through
the }>on of a friend, expressing to you my grateful
acknowledgements for the'friendly sentiments
contained in your letter.
I consider my condition as highly critical.?
It is a cbflgh ofsOTne eighteen months duration,
proceeding fr'Om the' lower bronchial vessels; it

my appetite, and lessened-my sleep; it must be

sincere thanks and profound gratitude.
With very high respect- I am your friend and

Kossutii Coming South:?It is said that after
his visit to Pittsburg Cov. Kossuth will proceed
to Columbus, Cincinnati, St. Louis and
New Orleans, stopping at several intermediate
]daces. lie will then, in turn; visit Mobile, Savannah
and Charleston. Thence he will proceed
by water to New York, ascend the Hudson to
Albany. From there, again westward, he will
go to Buffalo and Niagara Falls, aud by the way
of the Like, Ogdcnsburg and Vermont, will repair
to Boston, where he will remain until he
embarks for Europe. Such is at present his
' contemplated route, though circumstances may
occur to change or modify it. He hopes to be
in Boston in March or April, the exact time is un
certain, and he may be prevented altogether,-by
movements in Europe rendering his earlier depar
turc necessary.
WHAT A PITY!
That so many worthless preparations should
be offefred to the public as cures for the most
k serious diseases! But let those who have been
^ disappointed not despair, for Dr. Itogers'* Syrup
of Liverwort and Tar, really cures all diseases of
the lungs, after everything else has failed.
